DB SCHENKER ARKAS TO GROW 15% IN 2024

The Germany-based DB Schenker and Arkas Holding’s joint venture DB Schenker Arkas aims to grow by 15% in 2024, according to Ozgur Al, General Manager of DB Schenker Arkas. “We invested TRY 200m in 2023. We will grow next year with the impact of this investment and raise our market share,” Al said. The company plans to invest in new warehouses in cities such as Adana and Mersin in 2024. DB Schenker Arkas added new haulers to its fleet, launched new routes in road transport, ordered new trailers, and opened new storage in Gebze and Ankara in 2023. The firm’s storage capacity has hiked 10% with new investments. “We aim to use electric vehicles in our fleet next year and collaborate with local manufacturers for electric haulers,” Al added. DB Schenker Arkas is among the top 10 companies in maritime and air cargo business lines, while it has the highest market share on the road transport side. AYSEL YUCEL
