LUFIAN TO INVEST USD 30M IN NEW PRODUCTION PLANT

The men’s clothing brand Lufian has started to set up a USD 30m production plant in Diyarbakir to employ 2,000 people in total, according to Emin Gumustepe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lufian. The facility is expected to be completed in three years. The company also continues investments to increase the number of stores from 120 to 325 by 2025. 100 of the new stores will be launched in Europe, including France and the UK. Lufian also aims to reach an annual turnover of over TRY 1bn by the end of this year. “We have an annual outerwear production capacity of 400,000 units. We aim to increase this figure to 1 million units in addition to our goal to manufacture 12 million units of other product groups when the production plant becomes fully operational,” said Gumustepe.
