NON̞DOMESTIC PRODUCER PRICES SOAR BY 100.54%
The non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) jumped 100.54% in May, compared to the same month last year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The index also climbed by 6.51% in May month-overmonth, rose by 23.92%, compared to December 2021, and surged by 70.12% in May on a 12-month rolling average. For the two main sectors – mining and quarrying, and manufacturing – the ND-PPI surged by 107.11%, and 100.42% on an annual basis, respectively. Monthly, the ND -PPI for those two sectors was up by 6.92% and 6.50%, respectively.
