VESTEL INKS A COOPERATION DEAL WITH DTS

Zorlu Holding’s home and professional appliances manufacturing subsidiary Vestel has inked a cooperation deal with the U.S.-based technology company Xperi Holding Corporation’s subsidiary DTS to develop televisions with Play-Fi multi-room and surround audio technologies, according to a statement from Vestel. As part of the agreement, Vestel will manufacture products with the DTS Play-Fi system for licensed and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) brands, including the company itself. Vestel-branded televisions with Play-Fi surround technology will be available in the second half of 2022. “Vestel’s scale and portfolio, consisting of CE (The Conformitè Europëenne) brands, pave the way for Play-Fi technology to further extend its reach to people and homes,” said Dannie Lau, General Manager of the Networked Audio Divison of DTS. Vestel exports its technology to 158 countries, according to Turan Erdogan, CEO of Vestel. “Strategic collaborations are important in international markets, where competition is fast and closely contested,” said Erdogan.
