PARLIAMENT CONVENES ON FRIDAY

The Turkish Parliament will convene on October 1 with the keynote speech of the President Erdogan. The parliament will commence regular activities by Tuesday with the group gatherings of the political parties, where the leaders are expected to give their messages. The new Minister of Education, Mahmut Ozer, is expected to take his oath on the same day. The hottest topic at the beginning of the new term will be the change in tax regulations. Social media, sports and election regulations will be other major topics on the agenda. The government will also submit its 2022 budget proposal to parliamentary committees by October 17. The budget is expected to be debated for some time throughout November and December.
