ARCELIK CFO SEN APPOINTED TO UN GLOBAL COMPACT CFO TASK FORCE

Polat Sen, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Koc Holding subsidiary Arcelik, has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact CFO Task Force. “As CFOs, we take responsibility for building finance at the center of sustainability and adapting it deeply into the business strategy. We can be a catalyst for the long-term positive change from financial frameworks to investment decisions,” said Sen. Arcelik, which aims to reach net zero emissions by 2050, became a signatory in previous months to the UN Global Compact encouraging businesses to develop sustainable, environmentally and socially responsible processes. “At Arcelik, our approach to financing decisions prioritizes sustainability,” said Sen. With 60 members across 23 industries and five regions, the CFO Task Force aligns the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the corporate sustainability commitments to credible finance strategies with the intention of producing real world impacts through long-term sustainable change.
