NON̞-DOMESTIC PRODUCER PRICES DOWN BY 0.92%

The non-domestic producer price index (ND -PPI) dropped by 0.92% in August, compared to the previous month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). But the index rose by 30.81% year over year in August, 36.27% over a 12-month rolling average, and 19.80% compared to December 2020. For the two main sectors – mining and quarrying and manufacturing – the ND-PPI decreased by 0.55% and 0.93% on a monthly basis, respectively. In terms of primary industrial groups, the index declined by 0.08% for intermediate goods, by 0.13% for durable consumer goods, 1.44% for non-durable goods, 1.24% for energy and 1.89% for capital goods in August, compared to the previous month.
