NUMBER OF PAID EMPLOYEES SKYROCKETS

The total number of paid employees in manufacturing, construction and trade-services sectors surged by 10.9% in July, compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The number of paid employees increased from 12.3 million to 13.6 million in this period. Including sub-sectors, the number of paid employees in the manufacturing industry rose by 10.4% annually, while those in the construction and trade-services sectors increased by 14.4% and 10.5%, respectively in July.
