CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REBOUNDS

The seasonally-adjusted consumer confidence index increased by 1.8% to 79.7 points in September, as compared to August, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). The consumer confidence index fell to 78.2 points in August. The index of household finances increased by 2.2% over the past 12 months – from 61.3 to 62.6 points while the household finances expectations index rose by 0.5% to 79 points in September from 78. 6 points in August. The index measuring expectations for the general economic situation in the next 12 months surged by 5.3% from 75.3 to

79.3 points in September. The index for the assessment of spending on durable goods over the next 12 months remained at 97.7 points in September.
