Tersan receives new ship orders from Norwegian Fjord1 ASA

will build additional environmentally-friendly TERSAN SHIPYARD ferries for Fjord1 ASA. Designed by Norway’s HAV Design firm, the 84 meter-long and 16.3 meter-wide ferries will have a capacity of 248 passengers (including crew), 80 cars and 6 trucks. Designed with a diesel-electric backup system in accordance with the changing environmental requirements of the last century, the ferries will be able to operate in all-electric mode, hybrid mode and diesel-electric mode. Operating between the Stranda – Liabygda and Eidsdal – Linge routes, they will be built to provide energy efficient and environmentally-friendly transportation with maximum comfort for vehicles and passengers. The ferries, scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2023 will be the eighth and ninth ferries that Tersan Shipyard will build for Fjord1 ASA.
