Germany lifts quarantine, Turkey faces a demand boom
AS GERMANY lifted some travel restrictions, there’s now a huge increase in demand for reservations in Turkey.
FTI, the second-largest group in the German travel market, has opened all the contractual hotels in Turkey. “This was expected,” said Ralph Schiller, the manager of FTI, regarding the Robert Koch Industry ’s decision to lift the quarantine measure in Turkey. “With the decision, our sales began to increase.”
The decision is an important step for tourism in Turkey to get back on its feet, according to Hicabi Ayhan, the director of FTI’s Turkish operations.
“We are pleased that it’s now easier for Germans to visit Turkey, a place popular among German vacationers,” he said.
