The number of newly-established companies in Turkey surged 32.3% in May compared to the same month of the previous year while a total of 3,651 companies went out of business, an 11.4% decrease during the same period.

Republican People’s Party (CHP) Central Executive Board members are expected to gather on Monday with the participation of the party’s president Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
NATO LEADERS SUMMIT
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to the Belgian capital Brussels this week for the NATO Leaders Summit to be held on June 14. The most important agenda will be world leaders’ bilateral meetings with the U.S. President Joe Biden. A new roadmap for the Turkey-U.S. relationship is expected to be discussed during Erdogan’s meeting with Biden. The fight against terrorism, S-400s, Turkey’s removal from the F-35 program, sanctions, the Syria, Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean issues, and the USD 100bn trade target between the two countries will be on the table. Erdogan will also hold meetings with Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Greek Prime Minister Kriakos Mitsotakis.
