ELIF TO INCREASE ENERGY EFFICIENCY BY 30%

•perating in the flexible packaging industry, Elif Global will increase its energy efficiency nearly by 30% in collaboration with the Sweden-based industrial tools and equipment manufacturer Atlas Copco Compressor Technique, according to Ayhan Yuksel, Utilities Manager of Elif. The company supplies flexible packaging products to over 200 production plants in 50 countries with its facilities located in Istanbul and Cairo. “We aim to develop 100% recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging solutions for consumer products in Europe by 2025,” said Yuksel. Elif collaborated with Atlas Copco 17 years ago. The company has shifted from its existing screw compressor technology to the turbo compressor technology to increase energy efficiency and met 28% of project costs with government support.
